Conscious Connected Breathwork
A simple rhythm of breath that opens the body, quiets the mind, and reconnects you to the truth of who you are.
What is it?
Conscious Connected Breathwork is a simple, powerful practice of breathing in a continuous, cyclical rhythm without pauses between inhale and exhale. This deep, connected breathing builds energy in the nervous system, creating a bridge between the conscious and unconscious realms. Through the breath, we reconnect with the body, release tension, and access hidden or unprocessed parts of ourselves. Old patterns, emotions, and shadow material that may have been avoided or buried often rise gently to the surface to be felt, expressed, and integrated. Many people experience profound clarity, emotional release, and an opening of the heart.
Where does it come from?
While the breath has been used in spiritual practice for millennia, conscious connected breathwork draws on several key lineages. Yogic pranayama in India has long emphasized the breath as a vehicle for transformation, balance, and awareness. In the West, pioneers such as Leonard Orr developed Rebirthing Breathwork in the 1970s, focusing on using connected breathing to revisit and resolve early traumas, including birth experiences. Around the same time, Stanislav and Christina Grof created Holotropic Breathwork, drawing from transpersonal psychology and their work with psychedelics to use breath, music, and safe containers for expanded states of consciousness.
Contemporary practices build on these traditions, weaving together insights from somatic therapy, trauma healing, and mindfulness. Today, conscious connected breathwork is recognized as a bridge between ancient wisdom and modern therapeutic modalities—a practice that works across body, mind, and spirit.
How it works
Conscious Connected Breathwork works through the simplest of means: the breath itself. By breathing in a continuous, unbroken rhythm, the body is gently invited to soften its defenses and the mind is guided to quiet. This steady flow bypasses habitual patterns of control and activates the body’s innate intelligence, allowing what has been stored—tension, emotion, memory, energy—to begin moving again.
In practice, this can feel like warmth spreading through the body, tingling in the hands and feet, waves of emotion, or the sudden release of long-held energy. Sometimes it feels like a surge of catharsis, sometimes like a descent into deep stillness. The breath acts as both a mirror and a medicine: showing us what is ready to be seen, while offering the very means to release and integrate it.
What To Expect
In a session, you’ll be invited to lie comfortably on a floor pad in a quiet, private space designed to support your process. I’ll guide you into the rhythm of the connected breath with voice and presence, and at times offer gentle, supportive touch if it feels helpful and welcome. As you settle into the breath, the body may begin to open in unexpected ways—waves of tingling energy, shifts in temperature, or spontaneous movements can arise as held patterns start to unwind. Emotions may surface to be released, long-forgotten memories may reappear, or you might simply sink into a state of deep stillness and clarity. Each journey is unique and unfolds in its own timing, guided by your breath and your body’s wisdom.
Sessions typically last 75 to 90 minutes, allowing plenty of space for both the active breathing practice and time afterward for grounding, reflection, and integration. You’ll be held in a safe, steady container where movement, sound, and authentic expression are not only allowed but welcomed as part of the process. My role is to support you with presence, attunement, and care, so you can relax into what unfolds and trust the natural intelligence of the breath to take you exactly where you need to go.

Integration In My Practice
Breathwork is not only a powerful foundation and bridge into deeper work — it is also a complete, full-spectrum experience in its own right. Many sessions are centered entirely around the breath, which can open profound states of release, clarity, and reconnection on its own. Other times, we weave modalities together so that the breath can be received even more deeply.
For example, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EFT Tapping often serve as gentle preludes, helping identify parts of the self or discharge surface tension before the breath carries us into deeper layers. In Kambo work, Breathwork can help create coherence and groundedness in the nervous system before the medicine, while in psychedelic journeys it can settle anxiety, surface insight, or deepen the integration process.
Each client’s path unfolds differently, and the combination of modalities arises organically based on what is most supportive in the moment. What remains constant is the orientation: creating a safe, attuned space where Breathwork and other practices weave together in service of release, healing, and the return to wholeness.
