Psychedelic Journeys
Sacred thresholds for healing, transformation and spiritual awakening
A Portal of Transformation
Stepping into psychedelic work with me is to enter a portal — one that draws on everything I offer, from breathwork to Kambo to Internal Family Systems, and takes our work to depths beyond what you may have known before. Psychedelics are not simply experiences; they are thresholds. To lean into them is to lean into transformation: the version of you that begins the process is not the same version that emerges on the other side.
There are many guides out there. What I offer is rooted not only in more than seven years of professional training and facilitation, but also in over a decade of my own deep, ongoing relationship with medicine. I hold this work as a sacred responsibility. If you choose to walk this path with me, my role is to serve as a steady presence — a kind of spiritual doula — supporting you in navigating the death and rebirth of Self that psychedelics often reveal.
This path asks for courage and commitment. It may take you into the darkest corners of your pain and the brightest expanse of your truth. It is messy, challenging, and profoundly liberating. At its heart, psychedelic work is about reconnection: with the body, with the present moment, with spirit, and with aspects of yourself that have long been hidden or exiled.
In my practice, this journey is held as a three-part arc: preparation, the journey itself, and integration. We spend at least 4–6 weeks preparing — clarifying intention, tending to body and nervous system, building tools for the path ahead. The journey then unfolds in a safe and sacred container, where you are fully supported. Afterward, we devote at least four weeks to integration, ensuring that the insights of the medicine become embodied changes in your daily life.
For those who are new to psychedelics, I often recommend beginning with modalities such as breathwork, IFS, or Kambo before stepping into the medicine itself. These practices help you build trust with your own system, and create a strong foundation for the deeper work to come.
Benefits of Psychedelic Work
When held with care, psychedelics can open doors to deep healing and lasting transformation. While every journey is unique, some of the benefits people experience include:
Trauma resolution — meeting and releasing old wounds that the mind alone could not reach.
Emotional integration — giving space for repressed feelings to surface and find their place within the whole.
Spiritual connection — touching realms of love, truth, and interconnectedness beyond the ordinary mind.
Shedding limiting beliefs — loosening patterns and stories that have held you back, creating space for new ways of being.
Clarity of purpose — aligning more fully with what truly matters in your life.
Embodiment and presence — reconnecting to the body, nervous system, and the wisdom of the present moment.
Wholeness — reclaiming exiled parts of yourself and returning to a sense of inner harmony.
These benefits are not guaranteed, nor are they instantaneous. They unfold in the context of preparation, guidance, and integration — which is why each phase of this work is essential.
Preparation
The way we prepare for psychedelic work is just as important as the journey itself. Preparation builds the foundation for safety, clarity, and depth, ensuring that the medicine has a place to land and integrate. Without it, even the most powerful experiences can fade or feel disorienting. With it, the journey becomes an intentional ceremony of healing and transformation.
In preparation, we begin by clarifying your intention — what you’re longing to release, discover, or embody. From there, we tend to the body and nervous system with practices like breathwork, Internal Family Systems, EFT Tapping, and sometimes Kambo. These modalities prime the system — softening protectors, surfacing patterns, and clearing stagnation — so that you are resourced and ready to meet whatever arises. We also explore your history, protective parts, and the deeper longings beneath them, creating a map of your inner landscape.
Preparation is also about practical readiness: nourishing your body, adjusting lifestyle habits, setting aside time for rest, and orienting your life around this work so that the ceremony has space to ripple outward.
For most clients, preparation spans 4–6 weeks before the journey. During this time we meet weekly for 75–90 minute sessions, either in my private office in SE Portland or online. These sessions build trust between us, strengthen your capacity to meet the unknown, and create the conditions for the medicine to work at its fullest depth.
The Journey
When the day of the journey arrives, everything we’ve prepared comes together. The setting is held with care — private, safe, and intentionally crafted to support your process. Many of my clients choose to journey in The Dome, a womb-like ceremonial space in the countryside just outside Portland, designed to support deep inner work.
My role is not to direct your experience, but to hold steady presence as you navigate it. I offer guidance when needed, grounding when things feel overwhelming, and encouragement to stay with what is arising. Sometimes this means using my voice, breath, or supportive touch; other times it means simply holding silence and space. You are never alone in the process, but you are always empowered to follow your own inner wisdom.
Journeys can bring moments of profound beauty, as well as challenges and confrontation with what has been long-buried. Both are welcomed, because both are part of the medicine. With trust, patience, and presence, what arises becomes the doorway to healing and transformation.
Integration
The days and weeks after a psychedelic journey are often the most important. Insights may arrive clearly in the moment, but without integration, they can slip away or remain abstract. Integration is where the medicine’s wisdom takes root — where visions and breakthroughs are translated into embodied change in daily life.
In our integration sessions, we return to what surfaced in the journey, giving space for emotions, images, and realizations to unfold more fully. Using practices like Internal Family Systems, breathwork, and EFT Tapping, we anchor these experiences in the nervous system and psyche. This helps prevent overwhelm, while ensuring that the healing continues beyond ceremony.
Integration also supports the practical side of transformation: clarifying boundaries, creating new habits, and making conscious choices that align with the deeper truths revealed in your journey. It is not about forcing change, but about gently tending the seeds planted by the medicine so they grow strong and lasting.
For most clients, integration spans at least 4 weeks of weekly 75–90 minute sessions, held either in my private office in SE Portland or online. This ongoing support provides a safe and steady container for you to return to, ensuring that the medicine continues to unfold in meaningful ways long after the ceremony itself.
Safety and Contraindications
Psychedelics are powerful medicines, and they are not for everyone. While they hold great potential for healing and transformation, they must be approached with respect, intention, and care. Your safety and well-being are always my first priority.
Important Considerations
Psychedelics can amplify what is already present — joy, pain, unresolved trauma — and bring it to the surface. This can be healing, but it can also be destabilizing without proper support.
They are not recommended for those with certain medical conditions (such as heart disease, seizure disorders, or serious neurological conditions).
They can be contraindicated with some medications, particularly psychiatric prescriptions like SSRIs, MAOIs, or antipsychotics. A full health intake and medical review is part of the preparation process.
For individuals with severe or untreated mental health conditions (including psychosis, schizophrenia, or bipolar disorder), psychedelic work may not be appropriate.
How I Ensure Safety
Every client goes through a thorough screening and preparation process before sitting with the medicine.
We spend weeks building resources, tools, and a relationship of trust so you are well-supported.
Journeys are conducted in a safe and private setting, and you are never left alone in the process.
Integration support is built in, so the arc of the work doesn’t end when the ceremony closes.
Psychedelics are not quick fixes or shortcuts. They are catalysts that, when held within a safe and supportive container, can open the door to profound transformation. Entering this work requires informed consent, commitment, and readiness.
Integration In My Practice
In my work, psychedelic preparation, journeying, and integration are never isolated from the broader healing path. They are woven together with the other modalities I offer — breathwork, Internal Family Systems, EFT Tapping, and Kambo — to create a holistic process that meets each client exactly where they are.
For some, the journey itself is the central focus, with weeks of preparation and integration providing the structure that holds it. For others, the work may unfold more gradually: beginning with IFS or breathwork, tending to the nervous system with tapping, or using Kambo as a cleansing reset before stepping into psychedelic space. However the arc takes shape, each element serves the same intention — to help you release what no longer needs to be carried, reconnect with your true self, and embody the changes that the medicine reveals.
What makes this approach unique is that it is not about fitting you into a single modality, but about listening carefully to your system and drawing from the right tools at the right time. Psychedelic work becomes not just a peak experience, but part of a living process of healing, integration, and transformation.
